In the years since Cora's first book came out, the Country Store office has been Flooded questions, comments and pleas to publish another book by our favorite Alaskan pioneer and her family.

"Whatever happened to your lamb, Peep-Sheep?", subscribers asked. Or, "How did Chernofski get its name?" Or, "Are you and Milt ever going to retire?" And -- the question received most often -- "When is Cora going to write another book?"

The answer is: She did. And it's now off the press.

For example, when asked if she and Milt are ever going to retire, Cora replies: "No matter how hard life is here, we love it and have no plans to leave our ranch. We can't imagine another place in the world as relaxing.

When asked if she misses going to the mall or eating fast food, Cora replies, "If we wait long enough, the sea will bring us whatever we want. Milt and the boys soon discovered the 1,200 miles of coastline contained everything a shopping mall did...except a checkout counter. As for pizza, we enjoy it often!" (She proves her point by providing an easy-to-make recipe for pizza -- one of several recipes of hers she shares with readers in this new edition.)
